Members of the Music Story Foundation were honored to be invited to participate in the Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony hosted by City of Tustin.
Music Story Foundation members were welcomed by City of Tustin.
Distinguished Guests and Guest Speakers for the event were Congressman Dave Min, Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris, Colonel Diane Houghton (US Marine Corp), Mayor Austin Lumbard and also American Legion Post 227.
"Performing Taps at ceremony in Tustin was more meaningful than any performance I had previously given. I was deeply moved by how much the audience valued hearing Taps performed live rather than through a recording. Although the piece consists of only 24 notes, it conveys profound respect, gratitude and mourning for those who sacrificed in service to our country. Watching the audience listen in solemn silence, I realized that music is not defined by its length, but by the meaning it carries and its ability to touch people's hearts.
