Nina Quane

Nina Quane is a senior at Stuyvesant High School in New York. She grew up in a household full of musicians and is highly aware of the positive impacts it can have. She aims to use this knowledge to help and volunteer within her community.

Jiwoo Chung

Jiwoo Chung is a senior at Northwood High School and performed in her school’s orchestra for two years. She has been playing the violin for 11 years and is currently playing under Dr. Solim Shin. Additionally, she has participated in ensembles such as the Pacific Symphony Santiago Strings, the Irvine Honor Orchestra, and the All-State Orchestra. She also volunteers with Interlude, where she teaches children how to play the violin.

Benjamin Ahn

Benjamin Ahn is an avid musician who has studied the violin for seven years, developing both love and appreciation for the instrument. As a high school junior at Sage Hill School, he studies under Dr. Shin’s Violin Studio and performs as a honors member in the Sage Hill School Orchestra. He has experience playing in various ensemble groups, starting from Prelude Chamber Orchestra as a elementary student to the Chamber Music Orange County and the Pacific Music Institute of Hawaii as a middle schooler. Furthermore, he volunteers for his local music teaching organization “Love in Music”, mentoring young students weekly to contribute to his community.

Hannah Nguyen

Hannah began her violin journey from a young age, as her parents opened the doors to the classical music realm through the musical The Sound of Music and the children’s show Little Einsteins. She started her music studies with the Suzuki method, combining her fundamentals training with her theory, complimentary of her piano lessons. She has been part of numerous orchestras from the Prelude Chamber Strings to Pacific Symphony’s Santiago Strings to the IUSD Honors Orchestra as well as competed for chamber music and placed first in the 2022 MACOC Strings division. She currently plays at Northwood Highschool with the Philharmonic Orchestra after being the concertmaster of their Concert Orchestra her freshman year. She dedicates her love for the art through the school programs, the numerous conductors, and musicians that have continued to grow her admiration for the music.

Beomjun Kim

Beomjun Kim, age 16, is a violinist from Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest. He has been studying violin for six years and has participated in several competitions, including Prima Volta International Competition. Beomjun has also performed in high school orchestra and participated Luzerne Music Camp during the summer. He hopes to further develop his musical skills and share his passion for the violin with others.

Lauren Park

Lauren is an Orange County School of the Arts student, and a dedicated student leader and passionate advocate for community engagement. Growing up in a household that balanced discipline and creativity, Lauren developed a strong sense of purpose and responsibility. Whether leading volunteer initiatives or building partnerships, Lauren is committed to driving positive change and empowering others to make a difference.

Andrew Lee

Andrew Lee is a 11th grade student. He has been playing the piano for 8years and enjoy sharing music with others. Through piano volunteering, Andrew hopes to bring joy and comfort to people with his music.

Kaitlyn Sung

Kaitlyn Sung is an Orange County School of the Arts in California and has been playing the violin since the age of eight. Music has been a consistent part of her life, and she had learned to value the process of learning and improving. She seeks to explore new ways to grow her understanding and to help others in her community.

Program Manager (Eastern Region)

Stephanie Oh

Stephanie Oh is a 15-year-old violinist from Oradell, New Jersey and attends the River Dell Regional High School. She is a student of Dr. Jungwon Yoon and is a 3rd year student at the Manhattan School of Music Precollege Program. Over the years, she was won awards in several competitions such as Proma Volta Music Competition, International Grande Music Competition, New York Artists International Competition and Crescendo Internationals Music Competition. Additionally, she is active in community outreach concerts, playing for various senior homes around the area. In the summers, she has attended the Heifetz International Music Institute and Luzerne Music Center for the last 3 years, where she played in both the orchestra and chamber ensembles. Other interests include cooking, traveling and art.

Student Chief Financial Officer 

Jiwon Chung

Jiwon Chung is a senior at the Orange County School of the Arts, where he has been an active member of the school orchestra for three consecutive years. Jiwon has studied the viola for your years under the instruction of Dr. Solim Shin. In addition to his academic studies, Jiwon has participated in several distinguished ensembles, including the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Irvine Honors Orchestra and the California All-State Orchestra.

Dr. Solim Shin, founder & CEO of The Music Story Foundation, developed initial concept, established the foundation's mission and vision in collaboration with Dr. Hyunjoo Choi, Director of Program and Dr. Jungwon Yoon, Senior Advisor.
